Colorful illustrations on banners in the city center of Sint-Niklaas.

I had the opportunity to showcase my illustrations on banners throughout the city center. This art project aims to bring more color to the streetscape while highlighting local talent.

For this assignment, I looked through my own archive. The illustrations needed to feel spring-like: fresh and cheerful. At first, I thought of flowers, but I preferred the idea of people welcoming visitors to the city. If you look closely, you can also spot my poodle and mascot, Yoshi, on some of the banners. I divided the drawings into sequences, which worked perfectly for the long, narrow shapes.
